Giving is not just about money!
If you want to increase your interest you have to increase your investment or, in the words of Jesus,
“…where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:21
This is true when it comes to giving of your time, gifts and abilities through serving and also in regards your financial resources. Giving is a privilege, not an obligation. In the Bible we are told,
“…each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
One of the important ways in which we give to God is by investing in the work of His Kingdom through the local church. When we do this, our interest in the work of the Kingdom and the local church increases.
