Opportunities to Serve

One of the primary contributors to your personal maturity as a follower of Jesus is serving. You grow when you serve. Ephesians 4:15-16 says,

…speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect
the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament,
grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

and Romans 12:1-2 says

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters,
in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, 
holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 

Sometimes we serve simply because we can…

At other times, we serve because we have been graced, by God, with the resources needed to meet the need or grasp the opportunity. This includes:

Sometimes, serving just happens. You see a need or opportunity and you have the resources needed to simply go for it.

Sometimes, you are able to partner with others so that together you can act.

Other times, we may approach you about a need or opportunity that we have identified and which we believe you may be to able to to get involved with.
